Community Guidelines

Arvie is a social app for golfers to log rounds, share scores, and connect with playing partners. These guidelines explain what's allowed and what isn't, and how we enforce them. They apply to every post, comment, review, photo, video, username, bio, and profile photo on Arvie.

Not allowed, ever

• Child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes images, text, or attempts to solicit contact with minors. We remove this content immediately, terminate the account, and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
• Nudity or sexual content.
• Hate speech — attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Harassment, bullying, or threats directed at another person.
• Violence or content that promotes self-harm or suicide.
• Impersonation of another person, golf professional, or organisation.
• Spam, scams, or fraudulent competition entries (e.g. manipulated scorecards).
• Illegal content of any kind.

Expected, but enforced case-by-case

• Keep photos and videos golf/lifestyle-appropriate.
• Course reviews should reflect genuine experience — no fake reviews.
• Respect private accounts and follow requests; don't try to circumvent someone's privacy settings.

Reporting

Every post, comment, review, competition, group, and profile in the App has a Report option. Pick the reason that best describes the problem and, where you can, add a short note — it helps us act faster.

We aim to review every report within 24–48 hours. If the content breaks these guidelines, we remove it and take action on the account, ranging from a warning to a permanent ban depending on severity. Reports involving CSAE are prioritised immediately.

You don't need a report to protect yourself — you can block any account from their profile menu at any time. Blocking is immediate, doesn't notify the other user, and stops them from following you or seeing your content (and vice versa).

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, email info@arviegolf.com with your username and we'll review the decision.
